Two different projects developing solutions to capture atmospheric carbon dioxide
CAPTACO2
CAPTACO2 project, in collaboration with Rovira i Virgily University - Eurecat, consists on the design and industrialization of an atmospheric carbon dioxide capturing device in which CO2 gets trapped as a salt after going through a special membrane.
The project is leaded by doctoral candidate Anna Mas, who explains it in this documentary produced by CGTN America:
GRAFECO2
GRAFECO2 project, developed in collaboration with University of Barcelona - Faculty of Chemistry, investigates different ways MOF+graphene structures can be used to capture atmospheric CO2. These structures work as sponges that capture carbon dioxide.
